Chuck Hill
Chuck penned the infamous song "Tequila" while in high school and has been a member of The Champs ever since it's inception in the mid 1950s. Chuck is the author of other Champs hits such as, "Too Much Tequila," and the "Limbo Rock." Over the years Chuck has also developed newsworthy stunts in order to raise large sums of money for charities. His onstage and colorful stories of travels with The Champs are timely and add to the show. These other facets never cloud the fact that Chuck is a great musician with an exceptional ear for songs and the ability to get The Champs to trancend all of the hype, so common with nostalgia acts, and really play.
Having retired from being on the road full-time with The Champs, Chuck expanded his live shows to include blues, r&b, zydeco, jazz, some country and soul (including Barry White, Otis Redding, Percy Sledge and Ray Charles). Having a repertoire of over 600 songs, Chuck is sure to find a tune or two that you will enjoy.
