Retroactive is a Rockabilly/Classic Rock/Oldies band out of Jefferson County. Playing an eclectic mix of well-known classics combined with lesser-known gems, Retroactive creates a "good time" feeling for the audience. Made up entirely of current or former Lamar University students plus a teacher at the university, the band exudes a love for the roots of rock n roll, with selections from the '50's to the early '90's.

The rhythm section is solid, with young, extremely talented musicians. On drums is the newest member of the group and a welcome addition, Lisa Mosely, recently of Laurel and the Untouchables. A double major at Lamar in History/English, Lisa displays a respect for the original artists while at the same time infusing excitement with her distinctive, energetic style. On bass is Mark MacIntire of Mid-County, whose fluent playing displays great accomplishment and an individual style, yet pays homage to the great bassists of yesteryear. He anchors the beat and drives the many uptempo selections.

Playing lead guitar is Seth Franke, a talented musician currently playing in three bands. His versatility and classic tones provide Retroactive with its distinctive vibe. Currently a Sophomore at Lamar, Franke is a charter member of the group and exhibits his appreciation for all types of music.

The "retro" part of the group is Alan Autrey, History Instructor at Lamar University in Beaumont. Contributing guitar and vocals, Autrey is a confirmed hep cat, listing among his influences Buddy Holly, the Beatles, and Stray Cats. The only question of consequence to him is, "Got Rockabilly?"
