Ho Ho Ho. Happy Festivus. If you are in town over the holidays, then maybe you should check out The Logon Cafe' this Friday December 26 starting around 8:30 PM for an Olde Town reunion. That's right OLDE TOWN. This means beautifully familiar faces, from far and wide places. Audioflava will again be spiritualizing the stage with their presence along with guest keys player, the fabulous Mr. Joey Love. Mr. Richard Gober and Cribbs will be riding Shotgun. Shoot if it becomes like one of those parties, we might even make Poochie sing a song or two. Also we will be announcing the release of www.audioflava.com, which will contain all sorts of goodies including actual photos of Carl's face. He wears alot of make up on stage FYI. But seriously, come support one of Beaumont's True Original Godfathers of Funk, Soul, Rythme, and of course the Groove. Or you can stay at home at eat left overs while all of the cool people are having a good time at The Logon Cafe'. Can't wait to see you there.

I am interested in obtaining information as to if and how one might appear on Open Mic Night. I am the father of 11 year old Mariah Stanley, known as the "little girl with the big voice." Mariah performs country, gospel, R&B, and pop music and has appeared throughout Texas and other states. Her style and range are very mature and most similar to LeAnn Rimes. More information is available, including audio/video of her performances at her website. Specifically, is original music required or can cover songs only be performed with CD accompaniment? We would appreciate any information and interest you could provide.

Hey gang. Sorry I can't make it in for The Ryan Gist band this Saturday. I will be in town soon so stay tuned. In the mean time, if you or a friend can go, I would highly suggest. Good luck Ryan, Mike, Jason, and Carl and play a little diddy for me. Peace.

Next time you have that band featuring Johnny Lindow on the sax tell Johnny "Big Daddy Bertrand" said hello and to be sure not to play a solo while standing on a folding chair! He doesn't do to well as I recall.

Righty Right Right!!! Ok Kids. Audio Flava' (A Division of the Solo Project Corporation) Will be Performing with Grass onstage at The Logon Cafe on Saturday August the 9th at 9pm. Tell everyone you know. And then tell people you don't know (They might look at you funny, but they'll understand that your not a crazy lunatic if they come to the show. So be convincing, your social status relies upon this). As for the icing on the cake, Audio Flava will be joined by Keyboardist, Scott Hidalgo, for the show and maybe something else just might happen. ( I really can't tell you right now or else I'll get in trouble and lose my Kroger's PlusCard.) Their might be a small cover charge for the show but hopefully this should not disuade anyone. (Here in Austin, $10 is nothing for a cover charge, but it would be inhumane to charge that much to you good people). So Mark your calendar or Palm Pilot. New Songs, New antics, New Choreographed dance routines, and New attractive, intelligent people. Consider the possibilities. Come join our adventures. ***Word for the Week by Jade Oliver. Beaumont or Austin - Wednesday July 30, 2003 - 14:17

- Audio Flava: A Division of the Solo Project Corp. - Thanks everyone for an "El Fabulosa" show on the 29th. It was great to share the stage with Stephen Pericone and Grass. Life couldn't be better in Austin except for the recent rain. I haven't met Willie yet, but I've been hanging out with his cousin quite a bit at the Arlyn Studio. At first I felt like another modest songwriter moving to Austin but now I feel like I'm adding my share of water to their pond. "It's good to be the King." However, for the record and for those amongst the masses who ask the ongoing question... Were are you from mister? ... From Beaumont!. I will be back in town on Aug. 9 along with Audio Flava and our good friends, Grass. So stay tuned, stay dry, and stay sheek. Word for the Week by Heather Falks: Gude - n. A Good Dude....
